6 Week Workshop | September 7 - October 26 |Thursdays 6 - 8pm
In this class, you will learn the basic fundamentals of Procion MX Fiber Reactive Dyes, including how to safely mix dyes, how to thicken them with alginate, and how to apply color directly to fabric. You will learn basic color theory and the difference between cool colors, warm colors and tertiary colors by making reference strips you will take home for future use. During this class you will become aquainted with TWIL dye lab facility which then makes you certified for use after the class is finished, to continue using your learned skill
MATERIALS FEE: All dyes and chemicals will be provided for a $30 fee payable to the instructor on the first day of class.
Student Supply list: apron, gloves, dust mask, note book, pen, foam brushes, paint brushes (optional), paint roller (optional), fabric scissors, sharpie, 24” ruler or yard stick, piece of canvas at least 50”wide and 3 yds long for a drop cloth.
