STAR Nights | Teens | Monoprinting with Clay

In this class with Samantha Disney-Saxton, you will utilize the slab roller, which is traditionally a clay tool, as our printing press! Monoprinting is a form of print making in which each print can only be created once. You will learn basic techniques for layering various colors and designs to create a print. We will use a clay slab as our printing plate. You will then learn how to transfer your image to fabric. You will have a chance to practice with a few smaller prints to get comfortable with the process and build up the layers of color on your clay.  By the end of the evening you will create one 8”x10” final piece. You do not have to consider yourself an artist for this class you just come and have fun experimenting!

All supplies will be provided with a $10 supply fee paid to the instructor at the beginning of the class. (Supply fee includes clay, pigments, paint, slip, clay & fabric)

Class Fee: $35
