Instructor: Melody Williams
Class Description: Did you recently purchase a new sewing machine, or pull an old machine out of storage? Are you new to home sewing, or has it been years? Getting to Know You is a mini-date for you and your machine to get acquainted! The online version of this class covers everything you need to get started using your machine, including threading, tension, bobbin winding, checking out your manual, safety, and testing out basic stitches.
All domestic machines can be covered in this class, however, we will need to know in advance what kind of machine you have, so please look out for communication from the instructor after you have reserved your space.
This is an online, interactive class.
This is not a class for machine repair or maintenance. If you have a machine that does not appear to be in working order, please check our class list for Sewing Machine First Aid.
Student supply list:
Your sewing machine (including machine needle, bobbin, and manual*)
